Trip to Canada

This is my trip to Canada with Centralia First Christian Church. We went up for the Winter Retreat and we also got to hang around Olympic Village and downtown Vancouver. We were going to see an event but the tickets were too expensive (some were going for $1500!)

We went to an indoor water park. It was fun jumping off a five meter tall diving board!

These are some pictures of the trip:

MagiQuest at Great Wolf Lodge

This is something called MagiQuest, it is at Great Wolf Lodge, it's really FUN!
You get to choose a wand. There are different kinds of wands to choose from.
You also get a little booklet that tells you what to do and where to go. Here are some pictures from MagiQuest:
The Lady in the Wall gives you your Portal Rune

After you find all the Runes you get to fight the dragon

You can reactivate your wands to play for another 4 days at any time. Mom says next time the weather is really icky and we have Cabin Fever she'll take us up and activate our wands and we can run around all day while she sits by the fireplace and knits and sips Starbucks.

The 2009 Living Christmas Pageant

The Living Christmas Pageant is something we do at our church every year. We sign up for the parts we want to do and stand still for a half hour until our replacements come (that means someone comes and takes our place). Cars drive by to view the scenes each evening. I got to be in the Nativity.

Isaac and Jonah played Jesus in the Temple.

My sister Tovah got to play the part of an Angel and she lives the part, it describes her completely.

Rush was a Shepherd

Donkeys don't like to cooperate! It had diarrhea next to Alyx's foot. The next day it was covered in white fuzz- YUCK!

1st Annual Redwall Feast

This was the Great Redwall Feast at the V.R. Lee Building at Penny Playground in Chehalis on Wednesday, November 18, 2009. A group of families organized the feast because they love the Redwall books and invited all the other homeschoolers who love the books to come. Rush and I got to go with mom (she had to drive us there and attend even though she hasn't read all the books). My favorite part was the strawberry cordial and the games. I hope there's another feast next year!
I won a Redwall Graphic Novel for knowing the names of the most books. I got other prizes for my costume and for answering 2 riddles. Mom won a prize for her apple cake- Yum!

Grandma had to make Rush a new costume because he's outgrown all the costumes in the costume chest. I wore bits and pieces from our medieval co-op, Star Wars, and Hobbit costumes. Some of the older boys came in kilts and had daggers in their socks and sleeves. We wished that we had brought Nathan's swords because they would have looked cool with our costumes.

Everyone who attened the Feast. Everyone had a great time and hope to do it again next year.

All about my favorite action figure.

I like to collect a lot of action figures because they're awesome. I guess you could say it's a hobby of mine. My favorite one is Darth Varder, a Sith Lord of the Force. He used to be known as Anakin Skywalker, a Jedi of the Force. Now the difference between a Jedi and a Sith is that a Jedi is a protector of the peace and a Sith is a corrupter of the peace. But enough of this conversation, I'm going to close now. ~Arin

The Joys of Swimming

"CANNON BALL!" I shouted as I jumped into the water. These are the joys of swimming. When I go swimming I go to ‘’THORBECKES’’ to swim. Without water this place would be a wasteland. Now here is what I see when I swim, now close your eyes and imagine you’re seeing through my eyes. I jump off the diving board, I hit the water, I see bubbles, lots and lots of bubbles, I swim under the divider, I come up for air I go back under the water I swim down to the bottom if I am lucky I find something interesting and keep it. Now I go back up for air and swim to the shallow end and play with my brothers, then we get out and go change our cloths and leave. THE END.
